Short story
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that when you propose to your lover you need to be confident otherwise it will be a failure
Once upon a time, on the 22nd of november 2022, in a dirty and dark little street of London, Olivia Von Asherberg decides to propose to her longtime love. He is a very tall and muscular young man, with dark hair and dark eyes. He is possessive and a great lover. He’s intelligent, educated and well-mannered.
While shaking, she kneels in the middle of the empty street and because of her stress, doesn’t see that she put her knee in the dirty water and that now the bottom of her dress is wet.
Despite that, she takes a big breath and speaks with a nervous, shaky voice:
“William Smith, will you marry me and be the love of my life, my soulmate, until death?”
He looks at her with an indescribable smile as a shiver runs down her spine.
“Please?” She adds.
“Yes of course!” He yells as he jumps into her arms. “ I’ve waited so long for you to propose! I didn’t want you to feel trapped if I was the one asking you to be my wife…”
“It’s okay Willy, now we’ll be for ever happy; we’ll have a big cottage near the sea with two cats and a dog…”
“But my Olovia, I’m allergic to these animals!”
“Oh damn it! Sorry! Maybe we could have frogs in a tiny lake?”
“Yes, that’s a great idea sweet pie!”
“Eww a rat! It’s huge!”
“Aaaaaah! Help me! I hate rats!”
“Come here honey! Let’s head back home!”
